Ingredients
  

  • 3 fresh fig leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
  • Once it comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add fig leaves. Let steep for 1 hour as it cools to room temp.
  • Remove the fig leaves and store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
